As a little girl growing up in the island of Jamaica, I loved dressing up in the vibrant, breezy colors of the tropics. Even at a young age, my individuality reflected brightly through my clothing, which was so different from what my peers typically wore.

When I arrived to the United States at 9,my mother further encouraged my blossoming sense of fashion by uniquely styling me in tall suede boots, long puffed jackets, and the occasional skirt or pant suits. When I started working at age 14, I began journeying down to Greenwich Village and Delancey Street in Manhattan to browse the various boutiques for those rare finds that reflected my personality and elevated my self-confidence.

Throughout high school, my fashion was always admired by schoolmates, and as I got older, family and friends started to lovingly refer to me as "Diva", a title I humbly accepted.

It has always given me great pleasure to be able to share the wonderful places where I shop and what inspires me to choose the items that I do. To this day, it continues to bring me great joy to do so and my goal now is to dress other wonderful women as Divas through my own boutique, Diva Cotoure.
